This was my second time attending the retreat and I was not disappointed!
The only reason for the slight down score of accommodation is because the bed was too high for me to get myself into. Didn’t stop me putting the lovely memory foam Matt resin the floor and getting a good nights sleep! The food was excellent, the desserts were too!

This is the third time I have attended the retreat and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The silver jewellery making course was great. Something I have wanted to do for a long time and I wasn't disappointed. The tutor, Wendy Murphy, was amazing and, as a consequence, I came away with lots of new skills and some beautiful pieces of jewellery. The venue is lovely. The accommodation is very basic but not a problem for myself, as it is the course I am primarily there for. Although the rooms are basic, the set up allows you to socialise with others, and hence I've made some life long friends. The retreat from start to finish was very well organised but I wouldn't expect anything less from our Sue Bouys. Thanks for a great week.

The retreat is in a lovely place with great teaching facilities, excellent food and to have 3 days tuition as well is amazing at the price I paid. The accommodation is basic but acceptable for the price hence the Satisfied score- it certainly hasn't stopped me attending but the bed heights I know have been difficult for others. Excellent tutor, excellent content covered well and brilliant organisation especially considering it was done by one person.

Hi this was the best yet, even with the extreme heat.
The silversmithing course was excellent came home with 4 pieces of finished silver jewellery.
The accommodation although designed for children adds to the quirkinesses of the retreat.
The camaraderie with the other crafters was great

The course was excellent, very well prepared and interesting. The food was good, the classrooms were comfortable with about 6 in each. I enjoyed the evening dip ins. The accommodation was basic, the school itself was lovely but the beds and rooms are obviously designed with the young in mind.

Accommodation, i.e. bedroom was basic but as expected for a boarding school setting and adequate for the needs. After all it is just somewhere to lay your head at the end of the day and the lounge and kitchen were spacious. Food was good, nice variety each day and staff were friendly and helpful. Ice cold slush was a welcome treat on the hottest day of the year and coffee machine was fab. I loved the course I did and was pleased to take home, not one but several finished items. The tutor was generous with her skills and materials and very knowledgable. I also enjoyed the evening workshops and wished I could have done more, but there was not enough nights!
My only criticism is that the week went too quickly! I wish it could have been longer! X

The range of crafts available. Meet friendly, like minded people. Excellent team of skilled tutors, who were very supportive.

The social side. meeting up with people from last year. Tutors are excellent, food is good, the company is brilliant. What's not to like!

[I] Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect (except the beds), professional tuition in a relaxed environment. lovely crafters, everyone is so helpful & kind. So many laughs & so much beautiful jewellery made.

Firstly, the friendly atmosphere. I was with Caroline on the Polymer Clay Course. It was a small group of 5 people plus Caroline, we sat around the table and all chatted and laughed while we worked. We all helped each other whenever anyone got a bit stuck.
Secondly, walking away with finished projects! There isn't any need to finish pieces at home.
I would come again in the future if there was a course I was interested in. The retreat is a great way of carving out time dedicated to yourself and your interests. Guilt free "me time". You also connect with other crafty people which is especially good for those who don't already have that.
